Eagle Project – Alex O.

At the time of my Eagle project, my brother was playing soccer and we noticed the benches needed some work. I consulted the leaders of the league and started planning a renovation of the benches. Some needed to be resurfaced or repaired.  All benches needed to be sanded and stained.

I picked this project because my family had been involved in this league for many years. Dividing up the work was a challenge for me at first. Then I figured out I could keep the young scouts busy sanding while the more arduous tasks were done by the older scouts. After the jobs were divided, all I had to do was make sure everything ran smoothly by checking in with each station from time to time to ensure the quality stayed up to my standards. It was rewarding for me to see the newly refurbished benches on the field, and to know that we had helped the soccer league.
